During that time, we’ve had an addition to our family, and finding that big family home where we could settle down and raise our family became incredibly important to us. Over those years, we found a couple of homes we thought could be “the one”, only to be outbid or mucked around during negotiations. After going through the excitement of finding a house, getting emotionally invested, crossing our fingers and then being let down a few times, the whole process honestly started to become exhausting. A friend of mine had mentioned that another friend of his had used Jack Littlejohn as a buyer’s agent and had a great experience. The idea sat with me for a while until eventually I decided to pull the pin and give Jack a call. It was genuinely one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We were kept informed the entire way without having to deal with all the stressful back-and-forth that had made our previous experiences so frustrating. And then there was the price. Jack negotiated it down a lot — and I really mean a lot. When you compare what Jack’s service cost us against what he managed to save us through the negotiation alone, his value became very obvious. There’s also something incredibly valuable about having someone negotiate for you who isn’t emotionally attached to the property. By that stage, my wife and I were completely in love with the house and, after searching for nearly three years, we absolutely did not want to lose it. Jack kept the emotion out of the negotiation, dealt professionally with the selling agent and got us the home we wanted at a price we were extremely happy with. Jack is genuinely worth his weight in gold. Before using a buyer’s agent, I questioned whether we really needed one. After going through this process, I genuinely don’t know why we didn’t do it sooner. We spent nearly three years searching ourselves. Jack found our dream home in about two weeks. I’m writing this on Wednesday, 19 August, and tomorrow we finally get the keys to the home we’ve spent the last few years dreaming about. We honestly couldn’t be happier. Jack, thank you mate. We had a great experience with Luke and the team. First time looking to buy a home, we identified the exact thing we wanted in an example that had recently sold. It was #1 of a duplex—Luke approached the owners of #2 and was able to get us engaged with them off-market.
